  Isacq de Abraham de Marchena: 1. Arrived in Amsterdam, Netherlands quite young from Antwerp as in 1651 he was a pupil of Ribi Salom ben Joseph at Ets Haim Seminary. Arrived in 1659 with his mother, wife and other relatives and was the founder of "de Marchena" in Curaçao. Ishac was one of the oldest settlers who emigrated to Curaçao in the year 1659, and was one of the founders of the community Mikvé Israel. Served the community as Hazzan, treasurer, Second Parnas, President and Parnas of Talmud Torah from 1674 to 1697. 2. Emmanuel (p.682) lists Isaak de Marchena as co-owner of the vessel "ESTHER" in the year 1681. Source is WICA 617, p.292.
